Saudi stocks fall at close of trade; Tadawul All Share down 0.56%


Saudi stocks fell after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Building & Construction, Insurance and Financial Services sectors dragged shares lower.

At the close in Saudi Arabia, Tadawul All Share fell 0.56% to a fresh three-month low.

The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were AL-BABTAIN POWER & TELECOM CO (TADAWUL:2320), which rose 9.98% or 4.20 points to trade at 46.30 at close. Meanwhile, Alujain Group (TADAWUL:2170) rose 8.65% or 3.00 points to end at 37.70 and Arriyadh Development Co. (TADAWUL:2170) rose 8.65% or 3.00 points to end at 37.70. (TADAWUL: 4150) rose 6.05% or 1.95 points to 34.20 at the close.

The worst performers of the session were Al Sorayai Trading & Industrial Group (TADAWUL: 1213), which fell 9.58% or 8.90 points to trade at 84.00 at the close. Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL: 8230) fell 4.63% or 6.60 points to end at 136.00 and Banan Real Estate Company SJSC (TADAWUL: 4324) fell 4.31% or 0.28 points to 6.22.

Declining stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Stock Exchange with 203 to 122 and 21 ending unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery fell 0.26%, or 0.18, to $67.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodity trading, Brent crude for May delivery rose 0.22%, or 0.16, to $72.16 a barrel, while April gold futures fell 0.74%, or 22.40, to trade at $3,021.40 a troy ounce.

EUR/SAR fell 0.34% to 4.06, while USD/SAR was unchanged 0.01% at 3.75.

The US Dollar Index futures rose 0.24% to 103.74.
