DIG nears 2-year peak, PYN Elite group takes advantage to divest capital
After 5 consecutive sessions of increase, DIG shares reached the highest price since the beginning of August 2023. PYN Elite fund group took advantage to divest 4 million DIG shares in the last strong increase session, earning more than 80 billion VND.
PYN Elite foreign fund group just sold 4 million shares of DIC Corp JSC (HOSE: DIG) on July 17, thereby reducing the ownership ratio from 12.12% to 11.63% of charter capital, corresponding to holding more than 92 million DIG shares.
Specifically, the selling transactions came from 3 members of the group including: PYN Elite Fund (selling 2.5 million shares), Asia Value Holdings (selling 1 million shares) and Opportunity Global (selling 500,000 shares).
Notably, the session on July 17 - the time when the PYN fund group divested - was also the 5th consecutive increase of DIG, including 2 ceiling sessions. This stock then reached a price of VND 20,100/share, approaching the peak set in August 2023. Temporarily calculating at this price, the divestment transaction brought the fund group more than VND 80 billion.
The profit-taking move took place in the context of DIG's impressive recovery. From the bottom of VND 11,200/share in early April 2025 - a period under strong adjustment pressure due to negative market sentiment after unfavorable information from the public investment sector - DIG shares have recovered strongly and approached the highest price in nearly 2 years.
Closing the session on July 18, DIG slightly adjusted 1.49% to VND 19,800/share, but still increased nearly 77% compared to the bottom set at the beginning of the second quarter.

At the same time, Mr. Nguyen Thien Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DIC Corp, has just registered to sell 1 million DIG shares from July 25 to August 23 to restructure personal assets. If the transaction is completed, Mr. Tuan will reduce his ownership from more than 10 million shares to 9 million shares, equivalent to 1.13% of charter capital. At the current price, the estimated transaction value is nearly VND 20 billion.
