Bybit, the world’s second largest cryptocurrency exchange by trading volume, has partnered with P2P to launch rstSOL, a token generated when users stake their bbSOL through Jito’s restaking protocol. With this partnership, bbSOL holders can deposit tokens into the rstSOL vault on Jito, unlocking additional restaking rewards and improving capital efficiency. Bybit Web3 expands the utility of bbSOL across 10 DeFi use cases such as liquidity provision, lending, buyback, and yield trading.
Jito Restaking is a multi-asset staking protocol designed for the Node Consensus Network (NCN). This protocol allows staked assets to be tokenized into Vault Receipt Token (VRT), thereby improving liquidity and flexibility. By restaking bbSOL through the Jito protocol, users can maximize staking rewards while maintaining liquidity and taking advantage of airdrop potential in the Solana ecosystem.
"At Bybit, we are always looking to bring more opportunities to users in the Web3 space," said Emily Bao, Head of Spot and Web3 at Bybit. "The partnership with P2P and integration with Jito allows bbSOL holders to access restaking rewards, optimize their staking strategy without sacrificing liquidity. This is a big step forward in providing cutting-edge financial solutions in the crypto space."
How Jito Restaking Works for bbSOL Holders
Users can increase their staking returns in three simple steps:
Earn bbSOL by staking SOL on Bybit Web3, thereby providing bbSOL. Additionally, bbSOL earned on Bybit can be transferred to a Web3 wallet.
Connect to Jito Restaking by visiting the Jito platform, using a compatible wallet, and accessing the rstSOL vault.
Restaking bbSOL to deposit funds into the rstSOL vault, thereby unlocking additional rewards.
Bybit's expansion into Web3 staking solutions solidifies the exchange's position as a pioneer in blockchain finance. With Jito Restaking, bbSOL holders can enhance their staking strategy, taking advantage of increased liquidity, higher returns, and maximum flexibility within the Solana ecosystem.
